Brit Luke Donald finished his first year on the PGA Tour with victory at the Target World Challenge hosted by world number 1 Tiger Woods.
Donald won by two-shots after starting the day six shots behind Darren Clarke. Donald shot an 8-under 64 at the Sherwood Country Club while finished with an even par round of 72 to finish in second place and collect $800,000.
Donald who finished at 16-under 272 to win the $1.3 million first prize cheque said, ``It was the last round of the tournament, the last round of the year."
``It's a nice feeling to know that I came here and beat a very, very strong field,"
``That's going to give me a lot of confidence going into next year."
``Luckily, I played great today. Fortunately for me, the guys in the top two groups didn't play their best and let me have this one a little bit. This has been a year of 'nearlys.' Luckily, I got the last one. It will make Christmas a little better."

Adam Scott is regarded as the most exciting young Australian golfer since Greg Norman. At the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour, an event considered by many to be the game's fifth Major.
Scott is a four-time winner on the US PGA Tour. His initial breakthrough came at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship after a second round 62 set up a four stroke win and saw Adam break into the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time.
