Glover wins Funai Classic 23rd October 2005

Lucas Glover won his first PGA Tour event when he beat Tom Pernice Jr. by one shot to take out the Funai Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort. The 25-year-old Glover made two birdies at the final two holes to claim victory.

Glover holed a monster 40-foot putt from the fringe at the 17th before holing out a 35-foot bunker shot on the last hole. Glover shot rounds of 68, 66, 66 and a final round of 7 under 65 to finish at 23 under par 265.

Five players finished in a tie for third place, Ryan Palmer, Harrison Frazar, Justin Rose, Rich Beem and Australian Geoff Ogilvy all finished at 21 under the card.
