Norman lends helicopter to Hurricane Katrina relief effort

Australian golfing great Greg Norman has lent his helicopter to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Norman has sent his pilot to Lousiana to fly medical supplies and other items into the region for up to a month.

The former world No. 1 said, ``Our thoughts and feelings go out to everyone over there,''

The two time British Open winner said on his website, They need as much airlift as they can get,"

Norman has previously put his hand in his pocket to help those in need lending his helicopter after hurricanes Frances and Jeanne struck last year.
