Oberhosler wins Pebble Beach

Arron Oberhosler won the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am matching the tournament record with a five-shot victory today.

Oberholser finished at 17-under 271 to win by five strokes from South African Rory Sabatini while Canadian Mike Weir finished tied for third place with Jonathan Byrd.

Weir never recovered from a double bogey at the second hole when his second shot finished out of bounds. The former US Masters champion closed with a 78 to put himself out of contention early on.

Oberholser earned US$972,000 in capturing his first PGA Tour victory.
