The PGA Tour continues this week with the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in California. Pat Perez fired an opening round 12-under par 60 to grab the first-round at this five day event.
Chad Campbell is in second place three shots adrift while Australian Steve Elkington is a further shot back at 8 under. 2002 and 2004 winner Phil Mickelson is within striking distance at 6 under the card at this marathon event.
Meanwhile, World Number 2 Vijay Singh headlines the field at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Golf Championship that begins late tonight Australian time.
Singh finished sixth last Sunday in the Sony Open having lost a playoff to Aussie Stuart Appleby the week before at the Mercedes Championships.
Can the big hitting Fijian bounce back to the winners list in the middle East?

Adam Scott is regarded as the most exciting young Australian golfer since Greg Norman. At the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour, an event considered by many to be the game's fifth Major.
Scott is a four-time winner on the US PGA Tour. His initial breakthrough came at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship after a second round 62 set up a four stroke win and saw Adam break into the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time.
