Rose and Wilson lead Nissan Open 17th February 2006

Justin Rose and Dean Wilson share the lead in the Nissan Open after bogey free rounds saw the duo shoot 7 under par rounds of 64 at the Riviera Country Club.

Rose is looking to break an eight year drought and become the first Englishman to win an event on the PGA Tour since Nick Faldo won the 1998 US Masters at Augusta.

Rose and Wilson are two shots clear of the chasing pack that includes former Nissan Open champions Fred Couples and Billy Mayfair and Jesper Parnevik and Bob Estes.

Harrison Frazar, Rod Pampling and Rory Sabbatini are a further shot back at 4 under the card. World Number 1 Tiger Woods shot a 68 as he strives to win his first Nissan Open while Ernie Els made an auspicious return tot he PGA Tour shooting an opening round of 69 to finish at 1 under the card.
