Woods and Singh miss Disney cut

Woods and Singh miss Disney cut 22nd October 2005

World numbers 1 and 2 Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh, the two biggest stars on the PGA TOUR both missed the cut at the Funai Classic at Disney. Woods shot a 1 over 73 to match his worst score at Disney, a tournament he has won twice.

The reigning US Masters champion finished at 3 under, three shots below the cut. He did however reclaim the PGA Tour money title from Vijay Singh. It was the sixth time Woods ahs won the Money Title ending Singh's two-year reign.

Woods said, "I played terrible. I hit it all over the place. These fairways are about 300 yards wide, but when you're missing it both ways, you can't aim it."

Adam Scott

Adam Scott is regarded as the most exciting young Australian golfer since Greg Norman. At the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour, an event considered by many to be the game's fifth Major.

Scott is a four-time winner on the US PGA Tour. His initial breakthrough came at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship after a second round 62 set up a four stroke win and saw Adam break into the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time.
