Mike Weir became the first Canadian to win a Major Championship when
he won the 2003 US Masters at Augusta National. In doing so, he also
became the first south paw to win the Masters and only the second
left-hander to win a Major Championship 40 years after Bob Charles won
the Open Golf Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 1963.
Mike Weir is a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour. He is the most
successful Canadian golfer of all time and ranks second only to Phil
Mickelson in tournament wins for a left-hander.
As a junior Weir won the Canadian Juvenile Championship and the
Ontario Junior Championship before winning the Ontario Amateur
Championship. Weir claimed the Western Athletic Conference Player of
the Year in 1992 while attending BYU and was named Second Team
All-American, while again winning the Ontario Amateur Championship.
His first PGA tournament win came fittingly at the Air Canada
Championship in 1999. Victories have since followed at the
WGC-American Express Championship, the Tour Championship, the Bob Hope
Chrysler Classic, and the Nissan Open title.

Adam Scott is regarded as the most exciting young Australian golfer since Greg Norman. At the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour, an event considered by many to be the game's fifth Major.
Scott is a four-time winner on the US PGA Tour. His initial breakthrough came at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship after a second round 62 set up a four stroke win and saw Adam break into the top 20 in the World Rankings for the first time.
