Stewart Cink is another to come through the American collegiate system. Four successful years at Georgia Tech saw him beat Tiger Woods and sweep the college player-of-the-year awards in 1995. He then came out and won the same honor on the Nike Tour in 1996, before being named the top first-year player on the US PGA Tour in 1997.
Cink is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour with his first victory coming at the Canon Greater Hartford Open in 1997 Cink stormed back from four shots down shooting a final round 66. His other win came in 2000 at the MCI Heritage Classic when Ernie Els self-destructed shooting a 74 in the final round.
Cink became a father at the age of 20, four years of college raising a son followed before he became a PGA Tour Rookie of the Year at age 24. Cink is yet to reach the dizzy heights his talents deserve. He is best remembered for missing an 18-inch putt on the last at the US Open at Southern Hills CC that saw him miss out on a playoff against eventual winner Retief Goosen and Mark Brooks.

Adam Scott is regarded as the most exciting young Australian golfer since Greg Norman. At the age of 23 years, eight months and 12 days, he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour, an event considered by many to be the game's fifth Major.
